Kingdom PvP & Outpost Scrimmages

Understanding the tri-faction warfare, Warscore mechanics, and PvP progression systems in Legends of War.

LAST UPDATED: 2026-06-18

Faction-versus-Faction combat is the end-game cornerstone of Legends of War. The entire game world is locked in an eternal territorial struggle between three distinct alignments, each fighting for the dominance of their kingdom.

1. The Tri-Faction Dynamic

Upon character creation, your choice of starting race binds you to one of the three historical factions. There are no cross-faction chats or groups in contested zones:

  • The Alliance (Humans): Centered in the sprawling stone city of Lordaeron. They strive for divine order, heavy defensive lines, and fortified outposts.
  • The Sentinels (Elves): Base of operations in Kalimdor. They utilize camouflage, natural choke points, and lightning-fast ambush tactics.
  • The Horde (Orcs): Command center in Draenor. They rely on sheer strength, demonic pacts, and rapid offensive sieges.

2. Contested Outposts & The Warscore

Contested wilderness zones house neutral military outposts. Outposts can be captured by defeating the NPC guards defending the zone’s control point and channeling the faction flag.

  • Outpost Buffs: Holding an outpost grants a zone-wide experience and gold multiplier to all members of that faction.
  • The Global Warscore: Every controlled outpost periodically feeds points to the global Warscore. A higher Warscore grants server-wide benefits, including increased drop rates and cheaper vendor prices.
  • Real-time Map Visuals: Outpost captures trigger global announcements and update the coordinates on the world map.

3. PvP Progression: Warpoints & Scrimmages

Engaging in PvP combat rewards players with resources to advance their character’s military standing:

Warpoints

Defeating players of opposing factions in contested zones awards Warpoints (WP). WP serves as a secondary currency used to buy elite PvP-exclusive gear, mounts, and consumable buffs from faction quartermasters.

Outpost Scrimmages

At scheduled intervals, the game announces Outpost Scrimmages. Factions must mobilize to defend or attack a designated outpost. Participating in these battles offers:

  • Massive Warpoint bonuses.
  • Glory ratings which unlock special military titles.
  • Generative loot chests containing Rare-tier items.
